trauma

Understanding Trauma’s Impact.

Not all trauma comes from a single major event.

Difficult experiences can leave lasting effects on the nervous system, making it harder to feel safe, calm, and connected to the present moment.

Sometimes these effects show up as:

Anxiety Depression Relationship Issues Emotional Reactivity People Pleasing Chronic Stress Feelings of Numbness or Disconnection

Healing begins when we understand not only what happened, but how those experiences continue to affect us today.

EMDR

What is EMDR

Many people come to therapy understanding why they feel the way they do, yet still struggle with the symptoms.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy approach that helps the brain process and heal from distressing experiences and memories that may be contributing to current challenges.

Rather than repeatedly reliving painful experiences, EMDR helps your brain reprocess them in a way that reduces their emotional intensity and impact.

As healing occurs, many people experience:

Reduced Anxiety Improved Emotional Regulation Greater Confidence Healthier Relationships Better Sleep Increased Overall Well-being

Meet Rebecca

A compassionate guide for your healing journey.

As a clinician trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I specialize in helping individuals process and heal from trauma, anxiety, and distressing life experiences. EMDR is a highly effective, evidence-based approach that supports the brain’s natural ability to heal, allowing clients to move beyond feeling “stuck” and toward a greater sense of clarity, calm, and resilience.

I work with adults and adolescents who may be struggling with past trauma, recent stressful events, anxiety, negative self-beliefs, or emotional overwhelm. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s needs. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel understood and empowered throughout their healing process.

Whether you are navigating long-standing trauma or a recent life transition, EMDR can help reduce emotional distress, shift limiting beliefs, and improve overall well-being. If you are curious about how EMDR might support you, I welcome the opportunity to connect and explore whether this approach is a good fit for your goals.

Imagine

Feeling calmer and more grounded

Responding rather than reacting

Trusting yourself again

Feeling present in your relationships

Moving forward without the weight of the past holding you back

Healing doesn’t mean forgetting what happened.

It means it no longer holds the same power over your life.
